Our meetings held at 10 a.m. on the second Friday of each month at:Richard R. Clark Senior Center 1210 Charles Street
The main purpose of the meeting is to sew on the silk labels and tie identification tags on each blanket. They are then sorted, counted, listed, and bagged, ready for distribution to local recipient organizations. At our meetings, we generally do not "make" blankets together. We may do some finishing of blankets almost finished. You are welcome to bring project to work on if you wish.
Our meetings are informal and fun and last maybe a half hour to an hour and a half, depending on the number of blankets needing tags. More social than work, really! You may want to bring your own scissors and thread, but these are also available for you to use.
Please join us and find out what we are all about. When you have made your first blanket, you have become a Project Linus Blanketeer!
Since the meetings are held at the Richard R. Clark Senior Center, to participate you must be 60 years of age and a resident of Charles County. For monthly meetings and special events you may come in as a guest if you don't meet the above requirements.
Regulations prohibit children attending or participating in any activities at the Center.
